- BUSINESS PAGE is where you promote your business to clients and colleagues
- Avoid the temptation to do business on your personal profile. Your friends to not want to hear about every detail of your business activity
- IMPORTANT: Do not post your sale, new listing, open house on your personal profile. Your friends do not need to know about this. You should post this on your business page.
- You can post a message congratulating a client on their new home on a personal profile.
- In simple words – Keep the sales out of your personal profile.
How to divide Facebook in 2 sections
- Have a personal profile (if you don’t have one please go to www.facebook.com and sign up. Its very simple to sign up)
- Create a business page within your profile
Below are the steps on creating your facebook page for business. The below tutorial is based on assuming that you already have a personal profile.
1. Once you are logged in Facebook. In the search bar type in Create New Facebook Page. Click below image to view sample.

3. Choose Local Business / Service. In the second line enter [Your Name] – [AREA YOU SPECIALIZE IN] [REAL ESTATE CONSULTANT]. You are not limited to using Real Estate Consultant only. You can choose to have Realtor, Home specialist, etc. Check the box and click GET STARTED
4 – You have now created your business page. You will be shown the below page. From here on you can follow as numbered.
